Donations
Pets and Friends depends entirely on donations and fundraising events to keep going. We don’t charge fees for the services we provide, and we don’t receive any type of government funding. Last year, we visited thousands of people in more than a 100 facilities, but the need for pet visitation continues to grow.
Your tax-deductible contribution will help us continue the expansion of our pet visitation program to underserved areas in your community.

Where do my dollars go?
Pets and Friends has just one paid part-time employee—other than that we’re entirely volunteer-run! Most of your donation will be directed toward the recruitment, screening, training and insuring of new pet-owner volunteer teams. A small portion helps us maintain regular communication with volunteers and the facilities we serve.
Donating Through the United Way
Pets and Friends has been an affiliate member of the United Way for 14 years. As an affiliate member, we receive only designated funds from their annual campaign. If you prefer to donate to Pets and Friends through the United Way, please complete the appropriate section on your United Way Pledge Card or indicate your designation in the Comment Box section of the online donation form. On both forms, please remember to include our registered charity number: 13280 7348 RR 0001.
