Treasurer of the Board – Now Filled
The Pets and Friends Board of Directors is a working board that meets once a month in North Vancouver or by Skype. The Treasurer will be responsible for the financial aspect of Pets and Friends, including but not limited to: updating monthly financials, creating an annual budget, providing advise to the board in regards to financial matters and participating on the Fundraising Committee.
Our ideal Treasurer:
- is passionate about the human-animal bond, particularly Pets and Friends’ Pet Therapy Program;
- has strong accounting or financial management skills; and
- a good understanding of the Society Act and CRA regulations for non-profit organizations or a willingness to learn more about non-profits.
A minimum 2 year term with a commitment of approximately 5 to 7 hours each month, the successful candidate is required to maintain up-to-date membership (a yearly $40.00 fee) and be willing to help out at special events throughout the year.
